I’m not sure, if there is a real Beastie-day, but it could seem like it, and if there is, then it’s a good reason to celebrate.
At the 04 Hip Hop Honors where they preformed Right Right Now Now, Run DMC’s Here We Go/Sucker MC’s and joined Public Enemy in Fight The Power.
Adam Yauch and other celebrities speak out for Tibet.
Tibetan Freedom Concert - San Francisco 1996
If you haven’t seen the Tibetan Freedom Film concert yet, then it’s absolutely worth a watch now.
This film includes live clips from the TFC of Beastie associated names as A Tribe Called Quest, Cibo Matto, Biz Markie, Rage Against the Machine, Sonic Youth, Beck, Björk, De La Soul and Beastie Boys them selves amongst others.
It also gives a look at how the Tibetans are being treated and features interviews of the performers including the Beasties.
